(dba the FoodHealth Company) and our subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively, “the Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collect, use, and share your personal information in connection with our websites, APIs, software development kits (SDKs), browser extensions, applications, email and other electronic communications, and any related services, sales, marketing, or events (together, the “Platform”).
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes that materially affect how we handle your personal information, we will post those changes here and update the “Last Updated” date above. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about our practices. Your continued use of the Platform after we post changes means you accept those changes.

We make personal information into anonymous data by removing details that reasonably identify you. We may use and share this anonymous data for lawful business purposes, such as analytics, benchmarking, or business intelligence.

If you choose to connect third-party platforms or integrations (for example, health tracking apps, nutrition apps, or browser-based tools), we may share limited information necessary to facilitate that connection. Please note that we do not control how third parties use your information once shared, and you should review their privacy policies before enabling integrations.

We may share information with law enforcement, government authorities, and private parties when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary or appropriate to:

4.1. Access or update your personal information.
You may request access to or updates of personal information you have provided (for example, through surveys, sign-ups, or developer accounts) by contacting us at support@foodhealth.co.
4.2. Opt-out of marketing emails.
You may opt out of marketing-related emails by following the opt-out or unsubscribe instructions included in those emails. Even if you opt out, you may continue to receive service-related and other non-marketing communications (such as security notices or administrative updates).
4.3. Opt-out of text messages.
If we send you text messages, you may stop receiving them by replying STOP to any message you receive from us or by contacting us at support@foodhealth.co with your request. We may send you a confirmation message to acknowledge receipt of your STOP request.
4.4. Third party platforms.
If you choose to connect our Services to third-party platforms (for example, health apps or nutrition integrations), you may use your settings within those platforms to control what information is shared with us. If you revoke our access, certain features of the Services may no longer function
4.5. Cookies and similar technologiesMost browsers allow you to remove or stop accepting cookies. To do so, follow the instructions in your browser settings. If you disable cookies, some features of our Services may not function properly.
We use analytics providers (such as Google Analytics) to understand usage patterns. You can learn more about Google Analytics here and opt out by installing the browser plugin available here.
4.6. Advertising choices.
Some third-party advertising networks provide opt-out mechanisms for interest-based advertising. For example, you may visit:

4.7. Do Not Track.

4.8. Declining to provide information.
In some cases, we may need to collect certain information in order to provide the Services. If you decline to provide necessary information, you may not be able to use certain features.
Section 5: Security
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards to protect the information we collect against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access. These measures may include encryption, access controls, and monitoring designed to help prevent misuse.
Because most of our Services (such as APIs, SDKs, and browser extensions) operate with minimal or no personal information, we generally store only what is necessary to operate the Services, respond to requests, or comply with applicable law. Operational logs (such as device information, browser type, or API request metadata) may be retained temporarily for security, troubleshooting, and abuse-prevention purposes.
No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you are a developer with account credentials or API keys, you are responsible for safeguarding those credentials and ensuring their secure use.

Our Services may contain links to other websites, applications, or online services operated by third parties. These links are provided for your convenience and do not signify that we endorse or are affiliated with any third party. In addition, our content, APIs, or browser extensions may be embedded or accessed on sites and services not operated by us.
We do not control third-party websites, applications, or services, and we are not responsible for their actions or their privacy and security practices. Other websites and services follow different rules regarding the collection, use, and sharing of your personal information.
If you choose to access a third-party service through our Platform, or connect our Services to a third-party service (for example, logging in with a social media account or connecting to a third-party health or nutrition app), any personal information you provide to that third party will be subject to that third party’s privacy policy.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of the other websites and services you use.
Section 7: International Transfers of Personal Information
We are based in the United States, and our services—including APIs, browser extensions, and applications—are primarily operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, please be aware that any personal information we collect may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers maintain operations.
The data protection laws in these jurisdictions may not provide the same level of protection as the laws in your home country. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer of your personal information to the United States and other jurisdictions where we and our service providers operate, consistent with this Privacy Policy.
Where required by applicable law, we will take steps to ensure that cross-border transfers of personal information include appropriate safeguards, such as contractual commitments, to help protect your data.
Section 8: Children's Privacy
Our Services are not designed for or directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16, and our APIs, extensions, and applications are intended for use only by individuals who are at least 16 years old (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, if higher).
If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 16 without appropriate parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information from our records.

Section 9: Notice to California Residents – Your California Privacy Rights
Under California Civil Code sections 1798.83-1798.84, California residents who have an established business relationship with Company are entitled to ask us once a year for information regarding the personal information we have shared, if any, with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. If you are a California resident and would like to submit such a request, please submit your request in writing to the address listed in the section titled “CONTACTING US” below. The request must include your name, street address, city, state, and ZIP code and an attestation that you are a California resident. We are not responsible for requests that are not labeled or sent properly, or that do not have complete information.
Section 10: Notice to Nevada Residents – Your Nevada Privacy Rights
Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A allows Nevada residents to opt-out of the “sale” of certain types of personal information. Subject to several exceptions, Nevada law defines “sale” to mean the exchange of certain types of personal information for monetary consideration to another person. If you are a Nevada resident who wishes to exercise your “sale” opt-out rights, you may submit a request to us using the contact information listed below.
